The Golden Girls

Please put the Golden girls on a time convenient for those of us who work and who sleep normal hours (not awake at 1 AM). Lifetime has made too many changes and taken off the shows that has made it what it is today

I agree with all of you "golden girls". I myself am very ticked that my faveorite show of all time that i grew up with is no longer available at convienient times. I got out of bed early on my day off last friday just so i wouldn't miss the golden girls only to find out that instead of my 9:00 am episode of the golden girls had been replaced by stupid wifeswap. I understand that lifetime wants to change it up a little but i don't need an hour of wifeswap in the mornings and 2 i repeat "2" miserable hours of wife swap. one episode a day is enough. However the golden girls deserve they're time on tv. They earned there spot there by years of paying dues and they're replace by wifeswap? come on!!!!! I demand that lifetime bring back the GOLDEN GIRLS at convienient times !!!!

I am absolutely disappointed thae Golden Girls does not come on in the afternoons, preferrably after I get home anymore. 5:00 p.m. CT. I always enjoyed sitting down and relaxing watching the girls for an hour after I got home form work. Has this network lost it's mind? I, too,thought there would be a marathon after Estelle Getty passed away. It seems you are letting the series pass away with her. Shame on you!

I am so happy (yet sad) to see so many other people are so totally upset abouth the Girls getting bumped. I am 32 years old, have been watching the girls since i was a child-some of my best memories were watching them with my grandfather who always called them the Diamond Girls...anyway, only Lifetime seems to have the Girls and now instead of being able to unwind after work and make dinner with the girls i am subjected to not 1 but 2 hour long episodes of Wifeswap- which out of sheer protest is not being watched. Then I actually stayed up till 1am to catch them then and there not on then anymore either. What's the deal...is anyone out there reading this??????
I was fully expecting some type of marathon when Estelle died and was denied that ...now this is happening.
Does anyone know if Lifetime has the exclusive to the Girls on TV...have never seen it anywhere else (except of course the DVDs)

I just got here to see if they were ever going to go back to putting the girls back on their schedule; its nice to see that other people are interested in the same......

Does LT even read our comments? Are we being heard?? I post on here at least once a week, but don't think LT cares what we think!! I thought/think Wife Swap was a stupid show, but Blush....what in the heck!! It's a disgrace that they shows are bumping a classic wonderful show, Golden Girls!!!

WOW!!!! I was surprised but thrilled that there are others protesting and voicing out to Lifetime to put our Girls back on a regular schedule. Every afternoon I looked forward to my hour with the Golden Girls. I am 24 years old which i guess was the year i was born and the year GG started. I own every season and always looked to their release. I am very disappointed and most days bored because I can't watch my favorite episode. I just have to pop in my DVD but sometimes its nice to sit back and switch the remote. Lifetime please please please put the Golden Girls on a regular schedule. I am definently not the only one. i'm also impressed to see everyone leaving comments several times a day. Golden girls Golden girls!!!!!

Hello! I am right along with all the other comments. I am 24 years old can not remember a time that I didn't LOVE the Golden Girls! Once my parents took my sister and I to MGM studios and as young teenage girls we were most excited to take the tour that took you past their house! I think it needs to be back on like regular. It's just crazy and throws off a lot of people's morning/afternoon/night routines. LOL! I also think that Lifetime has choosen the wrong time to cut it down so much, let's pay a little more respect to Estelle Getty. Who doesn't have a grandma or someone in their life that's not like Sophia! I love and miss her! Please bring them back where they belong! KT

I understand how Lifetime wants to change, but removing Golden Girls was their biggest mistake! Oh yeah, and FYI some people have jobs and don't want to stay up until 1 just to see it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE THEM MORE AIRTIME!

I have an understanding that the Hallmark Channel is picking up Golden Girls which is gonna be an ok thing hopefully they'll treat them better than Lifetime did. But I just feel like Lifetime could have done them better than taking all of their time slots away or giving them crappy time slots. We have all been loyal viewers over the years and I just feel like Lifetime has done us a great injustice. Because Golden Girls is supposed to be going off the air Lifetime should be showing it anymore just to show their appreciation and thanks to our loyalty for this many years but they insist on alienating us with Wife Swap, Rita Rocks and encores of BLUSH.

Oh, this is one more thing I forgot to add my two cousins and I always say that when we are older we are all going to move to Florida and be like the Golden Girls, that is how much we like this show. We know that it's just t.v. but they are great to watch and escape once in awhile. I just really have no idea why lifetime would mess with perfection. The Golden Girls, Frasier and Will and Grace are the best. DROP WIFE SWAP IT'S SO DUMB! Most of those women should be ashamed of how they or their freinds and families act anyway. And enough Reba and Rita Rocks and Blush!!!!! Hopefully you realize this before you loose all your viewers!!!

I have watched the Golden Girls every since they were very first on T.V. even in High School when my friends thought I was wierd for watching them. But I loved them and I still do!! Please leave them on!! They are the perfect morning take off and a great nightly send off. Just leave them, Frasier and Will and Grace alone, Please!? You can get rid of blush and rita rocks. They are stupid shows and really there is no need for wife swap either. Stick with what is right and what works. If you don't want to loose alot of viewers don't change anything. My husband even watches these shows with me at night and he likes them. He says that if they aren't on then I won't be the same. So for his sake keep them on!!!!

Well I'm a new member, just registered recently. And I, like many on here am on the same boat that disagrees with lifetime for their decision in taking time slots away from the golden girls. I don't have a problem with thoses shows still standing and reba being on. I don't have anything against them or anything. But if lifetime really insists on giving them double hours daily on weekdays daily, then maybe they should at least consider doing a schedule with reba on from 4-5, still standing on from 5-6, and then reba again from 7-8 and still standing again form 8-9, and in between the golden girls should at least be on from 6-7 during those hours. If only they did at least do it that way, I'd be perfectly fine with that, especially with having the golden girls on from 6-7 at least. But unfortunatly, they have not EVEN been doing that at least at all. They never do. First they started taking time slots away from the golden girls. Now they've been getting worse. The golden girls are not only not on in the evenings anymore, they are never on at any times in the afternoons anymore. They've been replaced with that stupid hour long reality show Wife Swap, now on two times a day. And that show is just simoply lame, boring and stupid No value, humor or inteligence to it at all whatsoever. And they are always the same. Having a different pair of two different families each time in each episode dosen't make any difference. Because every time it's the exact same thing with the whole routine where the two families have the moms trade places and have the families live on her rules and expectations. And theres the meeting parts inbetween where both the moms argue telling the other what a bad job they do running their households and taking care of their families. And there's all the pathedic reality soap like drama while they are living with the other family. And then in the end, after the two weeks are up they swith back and the kids suddenly out of the blues become nicer to their moms simply because of horrible coditions they lived under with "the other horrible mom". Oh yeah, it's the exact same thing every time. That show can go on as long as they want, make all the episodes they want. They are all the same, always. Well, while the golden girls are still on from 9-10 in the mornings, there's still that one and fraiser and will & grace. Those are three of the top best shows that they have. Those are the major ones that keep viewers watching their network and probably clearly makes good money for their network. So I guess they can afford to be stupid and put on shows that will cause them to lose viewers, where people will be watching their network less often. Of course then again, that is really foolish and stupid to waste money like that to buy shows like wifeswap for their network that will cause them to lose viewers nad have their ratings drop. If they really are going to take off the golden girls, maybe tv land should consider putting them on their network. That would be great at least. I'll wish the best of luck to lifetime. At that rate, people will be watching their network less often. Fraiser and will & grace will be the only two shows people will be watching on their network. And the movies, the good ones that is, but other than that.... At the points where lifetime is at now, the only other best bet for them would be to select another one of the good shows to air in reruns on their network. One of the good ones that is, that people actully like and watch. It's either that or change their minds and keep the golden girls on. Those two options are the only best bets for them. And I also noticed that looking at the schdule next month, in decemer thaty are taking away will & graces's daytime timeslot, 11-noon. And it's being replaced with a cooking show. Why cant they put that one on at nighttime at 8 or something instead of taking away will & graces time slot. Hopefully it's only during december. Someone out there please tell me it's just a holiday occation thing for the holiday season and then come january it's back to the regular daytime schedule for will & grace?!!!!

I am very upset that the Golden Girls aren't on as much anymore. Rita Rocks is a waste of a time slot! Also, I'd like for the GG to come on earlier than 1:30AM here in NY.

hey goldengirl fans i am a big big big goldengirls fan i think lifetime needs to get their act together and stop messing up my schedule of gg and put them back on at 12 and 12:30 and 6 and 6:30 we can see reba on the reg networks you can't see gg on the reg networks anymore lifetime give me back my gg

we need the golden girls back on at 4:00 or 5:00! GG is still my favorite over all of the lifetime shows! Some of these new shows just don't even compare!

Lifetime, I left Dishnetwork because of your dispute with them several years ago. I went to a cable company that had your channel because I am such a huge GOLDEN GIRLS Fan! I have a very demanding job as a teacher and coming home at 4:00 and seeing the Golden Girls use to make my day. Please, put them back on at 4:00 because I can't stay up until 1:00am to see them. Wife Swap is a joke!

I TOTALLT agree that Golden Girls is THE VERY BEST which is why i just recently purchased All 7 Episodes on DVD for my enjoyment ... although now I just need to find the time to watch and enjoy (lol). Unfortunately, The GG @ 1:00 & 1:30AM does not work for me as I work Overnight. Nice to know that GG is loved my so many besides myself. Good Day
